Sahayogi is a property platform operated by Impact Tech Hub (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Nepal (309955/079/080) with its registered office at Budol - 06, Banepa, Kavre, Nepal. Impact Tech Hub is the data controller responsible for your personal information on Sahayogi. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We handle personal information in line with the applicable privacy and data-protection laws of Nepal, including the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018). By using Sahayogi, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account and profile information you provide, such as your name, username, email address, phone number, and any profile details or preferences you add.
Property, search, and activity information you generate while using Sahayogi, such as listings, saved properties, searches, negotiations, visit requests, messages, tickets, and bills.
Verification (KYC) and identity documents submitted by organizations or users for account or business verification.
Payment-related information you enter for convenience, such as bank or wallet account details for receiving payouts, and payment proofs or references you upload; we do not collect or store card numbers or banking passwords.
Technical and diagnostic data collected automatically, such as device and browser type, app usage, and IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Sahayogi platform and its features.
To connect you with relevant property listings and other Users, and to enable negotiations, visits, residences, billing, and messaging.
To verify organizations and maintain the safety, integrity, and lawful use of Sahayogi.
To communicate with you about your account, inquiries, transactions, and service updates, and to send reminders you rely on (such as bill or visit reminders).
To comply with our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal information where you have given consent; where processing is necessary to provide the Service you have requested; where it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation; and where it is in our legitimate interests to operate, secure, and improve the Platform, in a way that does not override your rights.
Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
4. Your Contact Details & Visibility Controls
You control whether your personal contact details (such as your phone number and email) are visible to other Users, through your privacy settings on Sahayogi.
By default we mask personal contact details and reveal them to another User only where you have chosen to publish them, or where a dealing between you and that User (such as a confirmed negotiation or visit) makes it necessary. Names, listing details, and organization profiles you choose to make public may be visible to others and in search.
5. Verification & Identity Documents (KYC)
KYC and identity documents are treated as sensitive information. They are stored securely with restricted, access-controlled handling, are kept separately from public content, and are not published or shown to other Users.
We use them only to carry out verification and to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and we disclose them only to competent authorities or regulators where required by law.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies that are required for authentication and core functionality.
We may use analytics to understand how Sahayogi is used and to improve our services. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
We use error- and performance-monitoring tools to keep Sahayogi reliable. When something goes wrong, these tools may collect technical diagnostic data — including your device and browser, the page or action involved, and your IP address — to help us diagnose and fix the issue. This data is used only to operate and improve the service, not for advertising.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate Sahayogi — such as hosting, error monitoring, and communication providers — under obligations to protect it and use it only on our instructions.
We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or a competent authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Impact Tech Hub, our Users, or the public.
If Impact Tech Hub is involved in a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
8. International Transfers
Some of our service providers may process or store data outside Nepal. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected to the standard described in this policy. Verification (KYC) documents are stored with our hosting provider under strict access controls, kept separate from public content, and never published or shared beyond the verification process.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse — including encrypted connections, access controls, and separate, restricted storage for sensitive documents.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for notifying us of any suspected compromise.
10. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services.
We may retain certain information for longer where necessary to comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations (for example, records relating to transactions or verification), to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
11. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
You can request deletion of your account from within Sahayogi (in your account settings) or by contacting us; some information may be retained where the law requires. We will respond to requests in line with applicable law.
You also have the right to complain to the competent authority in Nepal if you believe your privacy rights have been infringed.
12. Children’s Privacy
Sahayogi is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
13. Data Breach
If a personal-data breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will take steps to address it and will notify affected users and the competent authorities where required by law.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date shows when the current version took effect, and where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of Sahayogi after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
15. Contact Us
