What we check, and what you should
A badge says a specific check happened. It is not a promise about how someone will behave.
What the badges mean
Each is a separate, checkable fact.
Phone verified
The lister answered a code sent to their mobile.
Email verified
A working email, confirmed before publishing.
ID verified
Citizenship or passport checked against the name on the listing, by a person.
Verified organization
A registered company, documents accepted before it can list. Its address must resolve to a real ward.
A badge narrows your risk. It never replaces the steps below.
What actually goes wrong
Advance before viewing
Never send an advance before you have stood in the room and signed something.
“Let’s talk on WhatsApp”
Keep the conversation here. A thread we can read is a thread we can act on.
Photos that are not the room
Ask for a live video, or a photo of something specific taken right now.
Reporting something
Moderators read every report. You are not identified to the person you reported.
A listing
Use the report action on the listing for a scam, wrong details, a taken place or a duplicate.
A person or an agency
Use the report action on their profile for harassment, impersonation or a demand for money.
Get verified yourself
Verifying your own identity makes owners and tenants far more willing to deal with you.
